BMW E46 Narrow Front Kit

Installation Manual

The Wisefab narrow steering kit for BMW E46 is similar to the PRO kit but has less features and does not widen the car as much. This is especially beneficial if you want to keep the car in road condition or if you prefer to avoid excessive fender flares. With this kit you It is possible to achieve a steering angle of up to 55 degrees.

ATTENTION! This kit is not compatible with M3 tie rods.

Higher roll center
The Wisefab suspension kit raises the front roll center on lowered cars, providing increased roll stiffness and allowing the front sway bar to be removed allowing for maximum usable lock.

Revised steering geometry (Ackermann)
Normally when cornering the inside wheel has a bigger angle than the outside wheel. For drifting this means loss of speed and grip and we have corrected this to get the best performance.

Good camber control with high steering angles
With high steering angles the front wheel will have a positive camber, which is not a good thing. It reduces front end grip and during a turn or flip creates a transition of the contact patch from the inside edge to the outside edge. It is not possible to eliminate it, but with our geometry it is reduced as much as possible.

Steering lift control
When drifting, when the steering angle is much bigger, the jacking is also bigger, even with the same geometry and it could become a problem. We monitored it and changed the geometry so that it does not cause handling problems.

Predictable self-alignment control
With certain suspension geometries at high steering angles it can happen that the steering wheel will lock at the end and the driver will have to apply some force to turn it the other way. We know what causes this and have minimized it, if not eliminated it.

This kit assumes that the coilovers have sufficient clearance.
With this kit, wider fenders or flares are required.
