The GT86 V2 front steering rack kit is made from high tensile steel. It is a bit heavier than the V1 kit but is stronger, stiffer and has more adjustment options and improved kinematics. Due to the boxer engine the stock steering rack position is very unsuitable for drifting so the steering rack has been moved in front of the cross member with the option to use any rear cup motor you want. The main benefit of the front steering rack position is the more precise steering feel on large corners making the car much easier to handle in extreme conditions. To use this kit you will need the BMW E9X or Lexus LS (UCF30) steering rack to replace the stock electric power steering.

Here are the recommended alignment parameters:
Toe In/Out: If Ackermann is 0 or negative, toe is 2mm out. If Ackermann is positive then toe is 0
Camber: -6
Caster: 5.5
- Over 65 degrees of usable steering angle
- Adjustable Ackermann Angle. You can adjust the steering geometry to positive or negative Ackermann in minutes without compromising alignment. Ackermann adjustment washers are included in the kit.
- The knuckles and control arms are made of high strength steel. All parts are machined after welding for maximum precision.
CrMo ball and socket ends used in place of OEM bushings
Higher roll center (RC)
- With our knuckle, the ball joint is lowered, which brings the front RC up on a lowered car, providing more roll stiffness. This allows the front anti-roll bar (sway bar) to be removed, which is quite difficult to pack with a high steering angle.
- Good camber control and minimal bump steer at high steering angles.
On drift cars dynamic camber and bump steer are much more important than static camber. With our kinematics we have ensured that camber will provide excellent front end grip and bump steer will be minimal throughout the steering range.
- Steering lift control
When drifting, when you increase the steering angle, the jacking is also greater, even with the same geometry it could become a problem. We have modified the geometry so that it does not cause handling problems.
- Constant and predictable self-aligning torque.
Caster is not the only important parameter to provide sufficient self-aligning torque, especially at high lock. It is the combination of several parameters to maintain a constant trail and self-aligning torque. With our setup the steering wheel always turns in the direction of travel and does not lock at full lock.
The kit includes:
- Preset lower control arms
- Knuckles with hardware
- Assembled tie rods
- Preset coilover camber plates
- Front Rack Repositioning Kit
- Crossbar supports

More information:
Steering rack mounts and inserts for BMW and Lexus crossmember are included in the kit. Some DIY cutting and welding is required to modify the crossmember. Be sure to follow the installation manual.
This kit requires coilovers for sufficient clearance
Depending on the rim width and ET, wider or flared fenders are required.
Due to the extremely large engine compartment of the Subaru BRZ, we recommend using tires no larger than 605 mm (215/40R17, 225/40R17, 225/35R18, 235/35R18)
With a tyre diameter of up to 635 mm (215/45R17, 225/45R17, 235/40R17, 225/40R18 etc.) and a low ride height, the inner wheel arches must be slightly modified.
We recommend the 18" rim size, but some 17" ones may also work.
Depending on the rim diameter, the recommended setback is 150-160 mm (7" ET45; 8" ET35; 9" ET25). If the ET is smaller, the wheels sit further outwards, if the ET is larger, spacers must be used.
